Real projects, real impact
What I’ve Worked On
View My Dev Lab
I’ve worked on all kinds of projects, from backend services and APIs to micro frontends and UI design. I’ve mentored developers and helped teams level up along the way. These are the projects that sharpened my instincts and shaped how I build software today.
DEVNARDO.APP
PROJECT: DEVNARDO.APP
This website. It began as a simple experiment to explore Next.js and understand its capabilities. Over time, it grew into my personal portfolio, showcasing my projects, skills, and engineering notes
Built the entire frontend from scratch — no templates, no boilerplates — just pure custom code and design.
Designed the UI myself, applying both design sense and front-end engineering skills to make it clean, intuitive, and consistent.
Used Server-Side Rendering (SSR) to boost SEO, improve page load times, and get better Lighthouse scores.
Focused on performance from the start — optimized image assets, minified code, and made sure the layout stayed lightweight and responsive.
CHM
PROJECT: CHM
A money market fund trading platform designed for raising orders, generating reports, and managing investor data. The system handled everything from order creation and validation to settlement workflows, with real-time visibility into investor positions and fund activity.
Built the project from the ground up, laying the foundation for the trading platform — the core of the application.
Developed the trading platform itself, making sure it was fast, reliable, and met business requirements.
Implemented server-side pagination using Apache Ignite and Ag-Grid to handle large datasets efficiently without slowing down the UI.
Later migrated the frontend to a micro-frontend architecture to make it more modular, scalable, and easier to maintain.
Worked on the microservices handling order processing, making sure orders went through correctly and reliably after submission.
COMU
PROJECT: COMU
Fund trading application designed to capture client orders from multiple sources, including files, emails, SWIFT messages, EOIs, bulk uploads, and more. It is primarily used by the internal order management team to streamline the intake, validation, and processing of orders. The system centralizes all incoming orders, providing a consistent workflow and reducing manual effort.
Refactored the entire frontend to improve the look and feel, making it cleaner and more user-friendly.
Handled the full end-to-end workflow to make sure orders were booked correctly from start to finish.
Boosted performance by caching data on the backend using Spring Cache, reducing unnecessary database calls.
Built a complex grid system to display interconnected transactions clearly and efficiently.
Took ownership of the most complex features on the requirements list, implementing them end-to-end and making sure they worked reliably.
COMU-2
PROJECT: COMU-2
The rewritten version of COMU, from AngularJS to the modern Angular framework, ensuring no existing features were lost while improving performance across the board. The upgrade also brought cleaner architecture, better component reusability, and a smoother user experience.
Took the lead on rewriting the system, making sure the team followed the coding standards and structure we agreed on.
Helped define those standards early on — naming conventions, folder organization, code review practices, and commit guidelines — to keep the codebase consistent and maintainable.
Reviewed teammates’ work regularly, provided constructive feedback, and stepped in when tricky refactors or merge conflicts came up.
Rebuilt critical parts of the workflow to make sure the new version worked exactly like the old one but was cleaner, more modular, and easier to maintain.,
Mentored team members on best practices and strategies for tackling large refactors, helping them become more efficient and confident.
MYORD
PROJECT: MYORD
Fund trading application that is integrated within a broader investment platform offered to our institutional clients, providing a streamlined way to capture and manage their day-to-day fund orders. It allows clients to view existing orders, create new ones, and manage the full lifecycle of each order, including authorization and rejection.
Worked closely with the UI/UX team to make sure the design vision was executed exactly — pixel perfect layouts, correct colors, spacing, and overall consistency.
Developed and maintained microservices to make sure order processing worked smoothly, handled edge cases, and didn’t break under load.
Made sure the application worked well on mobile devices — responsive layouts, touch-friendly components, and performance optimizations so users had a smooth experience on any screen size.
Took the lead on building complex features, breaking them down into manageable parts, and making sure they integrated cleanly with the rest of the system.
Reviewed and gave feedback on teammates’ code to keep the quality high and maintain consistency across features.
CORI
PROJECT: CORI
A risk management application for monitoring counterparty transactions, flagging anomalies, and generating reports for review and action. It helps ensure accuracy and compliance by identifying unusual activity and providing clear insights for the operations and risk teams.
Dealt with a bunch of tricky issues that came up from using JSF and Spring together — things like mismatched lifecycles, bean scopes, and weird state problems.
Cleaned up the integration between the two so the app ran more reliably and was easier to maintain.
Used Highcharts to build detailed, interactive reports that visualized data clearly and handled large datasets without choking.
Tweaked the charts for performance and usability — custom tooltips, drill-downs, and responsive layouts so users could dig into data without waiting forever.
MATT
PROJECT: MATT
A system that allows manual adjustments of banking records in batches via Excel uploads. It streamlines the process of correcting or updating large volumes of data, ensuring accuracy and efficiency for the operations team.
Developed a memory-efficient Excel export module that allows users to download very large datasets without causing the application server to reach its memory limits.
Implemented a streaming-based file generation process, writing data in chunks instead of loading everything into memory.
CPOS
PROJECT: CPOS
A reporting system that is part of a larger platform for tracking and managing client positions in the bank. It consolidates data to provide accurate, organized, and accessible information for operations, reporting, and decision-making.
Prototyped, designed, and implemented the entire frontend architecture, handling everything from UI/UX prototyping to production-ready code.
Built reusable, modular components and implemented responsive layouts to ensure consistency and maintainability.
Integrated frontend logic directly with backend services I developed, enabling smooth data flow and performance optimization across the stack.
